How many guitar careers were launched with a Silvertone amp-in-case rig?
This 1448 setup is feeling good and the amp has been serviced. Those Danelectro lipsticks sure do a thing of their own! Pots date to 1967, the last year this was produced.
Fun to play and has decent action. There are some spots in the area past fret 12 that do not ring perfectly, which is pretty much to be expected with a unit of this nature and age. Shows patina and age, not a closet classic. One knob is cracked but holding on.
Case may smell a little musty to the end user. We took turns here with “sniff testing“ and it passed with two ”it’s fine”, and one ”might be a little funky”. One hinge has been repaired with glue or epoxy as shown in photo.
