The Akai GX-4000D is a vintage 4-track, 2-channel stereo reel-to-reel tape deck manufactured by the Akai Electric Company in Japan between 1978 and 1985. It is highly regarded as a reliable, prosumer-level entry point into the world of open-reel audio recording and playback. This unit was refurbished and had the output transistors replaced. It was tested and is working great.
