After over 60 years of service to the local stringed instrument community, KR Bachelder Co. Violins of Naperville, IL will be closing it's doors on June 1st, 2026 as the staff is retiring. We are in the process of discounting and selling off our inventory, including this new Pietro Lombardi 502 16" viola by Eastman Strings. This Stradivari model viola features nicely flamed maples and a select spruce top with a tastefully antiqued varnish. The viola is set up with A French Despiau "B" grade bridge, Tomastik Vision strings (with a Larsen "A") and a Wittner Ultra fine tuning tailpiece with rosewood finish. This instrument is normally priced at $3,076, but due to our pending retirement and liquidation, we're pricing this viola at 50% off, $1,538 plus shipping, final sale, no returns.
