This looping pedal is absolutely amazing, but too much for what I need on stage. I am a full-time looping artist, the first to come out of Chicago in 1998, and have been using the Boomerang lll for many years, approximately 210 shows a year, and I bought this unit because I liked the multi-channel function. But after trying this out a few times, I prefer using my Boomerang lll on stage, as I am more used to it. 

What I mean by “multi-channel function“ is you have 4 channels, so you can loop everything you want for the verse on Chan 1, for example, add the chorus part on Chan 2, bridge on Chan 3, etc, etc…

I’ve only used this looper 12 times indoors, never has been brought on stage, trying it out to see if I like it for stage use, and I posted a few YouTube videos using the built in stereo reverbs and compressor. Believe me, this thing is a beast, and looks and sounds incredible. When you go into the menu and use the effects, everything about it is like you’re in a studio. Quite impressive, actually. Then again, Headrush makes this unit, so if you know who they are, you’ll understand…

But I‘m just too used to my Boomerang lll, and I didn’t need it like I hoped I would.

This is the ONLY reason I’m selling it after only having it a few months. Everything works on it, and it’s still in new condition, as it has never been taken out of the house. The dang thing even has built-in drum tracks that sound great! Just another reason I don’t need it, as I do live drums and percussion on stage… 

The amp modeling sounds great, if you want to use electric guitar through it, but I mainly loop acoustic guitar 99% of the time, which is another reason I’m letting this unit go. I don’t need all the pedals & affects. I have included a YouTube short of me playing a PRS with an EBow through it so you can hear the stereo separation on the reverb, compression, etc. (Use earbuds so you can hear how good the DSP sounds in this baby…)

Firmware has been updated as of 2026, and the unit will be shipped in the original Sheeran Looper X shipping box. If you have questions, I will respond to any questions sent to me here in the Reverb app.
