An immaculate Paiste 22” Masters Dark Crashride weighing 2405 grams.
Dark complex mysterious wash, with a clear and warm woody stick that holds its definition solidly. This is really more of a ride proper that just also happens to crash magnificently.
It has a medium profile with slightly umbrellad curvature which again lends to that deep dark wash.
This cymbal projects a big sound and presence and with its lush hand hammering and craftsmanship; puts it in my opinion at the pinnacle of modern Paiste offerings.
It harkens back to the famous Sound Creation Dark ride that is so beloved from the late 1970’s.
This one was specially picked for me by Hawthorne Drum Shop and has been played minimally for demos only since I received it brand new two years ago.
This is truly one of the finest cymbals in the modern world of cymbal making, and one that I know will make a new owner very happy.
