Condition: Very Good

Includes: Marshall Super Lead 100W Plexi head, Brett Allen Studio Rental flight case, Danny Ghinn service report

Serial: SL/A 10978

Overview The 1967 Marshall Super Lead 100W is the original Plexi head — the amp that defined hard rock guitar tone, used by Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, and the entire foundational generation of British rock players. This example is dated to 1967 by Danny Ghinn and confirmed via the SL/A 10978 serial. Per Ghinn's December 2025 inspection, the amp retains its original transformer and most original components — the single most important originality marker on a vintage Plexi. Currently fitted with 3 long-plate Euro preamp tubes. Ghinn rates it: "Very nice sounding head." Plexiglas (Plexi) control panel, Marshall script logo, black levant Tolex covering, and the standard two-channel front panel with Presence, Bass, Middle, Treble, Volume I, and Volume II. The chassis side shows tour stenciling ("VILLAGE" and "PEPPER") from documented road history. Ships in a Brett Allen Studio Rental flight case.
