Here's a rare one: A 1991 Ken Smith BT6 six-string bass in great condition. Handmade in Perkasie, PA, this bass boasts all the hallmarks of Ken Smith's design: stunning 5-piece maple/mahogany neck-through construction with graphite reinforcement, nicely flamed maple top, handmade "scalloped" brass nut," 3-band active EQ/preamp, and the sonic monster Ken Smith pickups that deliver any tone you need to dial in. Even has the proprietary recessed strap locks!Traditional 34" scale length allows for a bit less of a learning curve when handling the low B string. This is a hi-fi 6-string for the serious bassist!
Neck is straight and true with comfortable low action and plenty of life left on the frets. Some surface-level wear and nicks in the finish on the bass side horn, all from honest play, but nothing affecting tone or structural stability. Will ship professionally setup, with original Smith hard case and strap.
