Part of Morley's MOD series, it is known for its rugged "armored" metal enclosure and its massive footprint, weighing over 1 kg. While named a distortion, many users describe its sound as closer to a high-headroom overdrive with a smooth, dynamic response.

• Controls: Features a three-knob layout consisting of Distortion, Tone, and Output.
• Unique Tone Sweep: This "Deluxe" version was notable for adding a Tone control, which was absent on simpler models like the Distortion One (MOD-D1B). The tone sweep is exceptionally wide, making the pedal highly effective for bass guitar as well.
• Circuitry: Built around a TL074 or National Semiconductor LF347N quad op-amp. It is designed for high headroom and can produce grit ranging from American hard rock crunch to early heavy metal saturation.
