Hand-carved from European tone-woods, Scott Cao's interpretation of the original violin is well-executed and beautifully crafted to produce a clear, sweet tone with excellent playability. We feel very strongly that no specimen can exemplify del Gesu in his mature youth more strikingly than the 1733 Kreisler. It stands at the threshold of the master's redemption from the past, with the f-holes still revealing his indebtedness to Stradivari while the model and form of the instrument are all his own.
