This is a rare and fully functional Vox Galaxie, one of the iconic "Ampliphonic" series amplifiers produced by Thomas Organ Co. in Sepulveda, California during the late 1960s. The Ampliphonic line debuted at the Chicago NAMM show in 1967, and the Galaxie was the intermediate model in the Ampliphonic music stand series, featuring reverb, vibrato, and a footswitch — a genuinely versatile and characterful amp from one of the most storied names in rock history.

The amp is fully operational with all knobs and onboard effects working as designed. The Thomas Organ Vox tremolo and reverb have incredible depth when set up properly — and this unit delivers exactly that. It plays beautifully with guitar, bass, or keyboard, and responds wonderfully to overdrive and distortion pedals.
Provenance: This amp was purchased from and professionally maintained by renowned luthier Chris DiPinto of DiPinto Guitars in Philadelphia — a trusted name in the vintage instrument world. It has lived its entire life in a private, non-smoking recording studio and has never been gigged. Original speaker is intact and sounds excellent.
These amps are genuinely rare today — amp techs historically charged so much to service them that many owners simply discarded them, making well-maintained survivors increasingly hard to find.
