Fostex FD-8 is a classic 8-track digital recorder from the late 90s, perfect for a hands on studio setup.
Power: Unit powers on perfectly.
Screen: The LCD is bright, clear, and easy to read.
Testing: I haven't fully tested the recording/playback functions because I don't have a Zip drive or external SCSI drive. All knobs and faders feel smooth and responsive.
Cosmetics: Good shape for its age, just some light surface wear.
• 8-Track Digital Audio: Real faders and knobs for a tactile feel.
• ADAT Optical I/O: Can be used to expand modern digital setups.
• Built-in Mixer: Dedicated EQ and Aux sends on every channel.
It will include its original power cable, this unit requires a SCSI Zip drive or a hard drive mod to record. Sold As-Is since I can’t fully test the audio path.
