This is a well loved Tony Iommi SG Signature

Technically being the G-400 model starting what is now the lineage of Tony’s signature being released. I simply call it the first generation. Luckily this is a Korean made model and we all know how well the Korean factory made guitars back then.

With the typical specs you would find on an SG (24.75” scale length, set neck, mahogany construction throughout, rosewood fretboard, mother of pearl inlay) it also has some upgrades out of the box.
Including: Tony Iommi Signature pickups (USA), Grover tuning keys, Tune-o-Matic bridge, 24 frets.

The good: Neck is straight, frets have probably around 80% life left, no cracks in the finish anywhere(except in photo). Electronics work just fine. No tuning problems.

The bad: misc but minimal micro scratches through out, a few buckle scratches (tried to get pictures of them) and a dent in the body (as pictured). Faded finish on the pickups and bridge. (I said it was loved!)

Living with it: The neck is described as slim taper but I think it’s a combination of a 50s/60s neck, chording is easy but as you go up the frets the neck still feels that it has some feel you could say or chunk but its not impossible to solo its definitely a guitar geared towards rock than shred as that’s typically how Tony plays anyway.

Pickups are more geared towards rock and anything upwards as well. The bridge not being the brightest on the clean channel really shines in the middle position in combination with the neck. On dirty and heavier distortion the bridge PU really has good low end (punchy while not being bitey on the high end) with distortion the PU really shines, also handles pinch harmonics really well too Usually difficult for PAF style PUs. The neck is creamy, warm, and articulate and really sounds better the more you drive it, it can handle jazz though which is pretty interesting.

I understand this is a more long winded listing however being a lefty I understand how difficult it is to get gear so I would want someone telling me about their experience playing an instrument before I buy it.

The guitar will be packed properly in a guitar specific box. Guiter will be shipped via FedEx only and with insurance. When guitar arrived it will be tuned to D standard, this allows for an easier travel for the guitar to its final destination.

Hardcase is included.

Offers are welcome, the worst that can happen is I send back a counter-offer.

Thanks for looking.
