Syntonie VU007b Sync Generator & RGB Encoder

Selling because LZX ESG fits my system better. Price is just the last Sortie that sold, offers welcome.

This is the older version of the Syntonie Sortie. The difference between the two is that the standard is selected with switches rather than a button, but otherwise it is identical. There are dipswitches on the back to use more esoteric standards like 29.97p and 59.94i.

If you're not familiar with video, I'd read up on sync gen / encoders first. Here's the lowdown:

This is an output module. It can convert analog modular signals (1/8" jacks, 0-1v LZX standard) to valid analog video signals in the selected resolution/standard. Will not recognize bipolar voltages. YPbPr, Composite CVBS, and YC output support.

It generates or receives sync through RCA jacks on the rear. Unsynced video modules will scroll.

The output is not digital. To convert it to HDMI or SDI, you will need a converter box. To capture it, you will need a separate recorder or capture card.

Output only, and it won't work with video that is in a different timing. Not a Timebase Corrector (TBC).

Barrel power (like current LZX) or eurorack power. To use barrel power, there's a little ribbon cable in the back. Remove it to use euro power. Cable included and attached.
