For your consideration, Garrett Park Music presents this 1960's Silvertone Model 1420 Electric Guitar.
This 1960s Silvertone 1420 (also known as the Stratotone Mars) is a vintage electric guitar manufactured by Harmony in the USA and was sold through the Sears catalog from 1959 through 1963. This particular model is in great shape with some minor play wear, a new set of tuners (originals are still in the guitar's gigbag), a replaced switch tip, and a previously pinned bridge which was undone at one point, leaving a small crack on the bass side of the bridge mount that doesn't impact playability. The neck has a bit of a forward bow but still plays nicely with good action.
Highly resonant and lively-sounding, this 1420 is a fun player with a uniquely vintage tone thanks to the dual 'Hershey Bar' pickups which sit somewhere between a P-90 and Fender single-coil. The neck profile is a nicely carved half-oval or U shape that perfectly balances heft and playability. An exceptionally lightweight guitar, this player comes in at 5lb on the dot and is a true joy to play. Includes the original tuners and a modern gigbag.
