The Ibanez Prestige AZ2204 is a Japan-crafted electric guitar that represents the pinnacle of the AZ platform — a refined, player-focused instrument built with premium materials, meticulous construction, and a tonal versatility that covers everything from clean shimmer to high-gain aggression. An ash body delivers the bright, articulate response and rich sustain the AZ series is known for, finished in a stunning Tri Fade Burst that showcases the wood's natural grain.
The neck is built from CS-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple with an AZ Oval profile — stable, fast, and comfortable — topped with an S-TECH WOOD Roasted Maple fretboard carrying 22 Jumbo Stainless Steel frets with Prestige fret edge treatment for a silky-smooth feel from first position to the upper register. A bone nut and Gotoh Magnum Lock machine heads with H.A.P. ensure rock-solid tuning stability. The Seymour Duncan Hyperion SSH pickup set — two Alnico single-coils at neck and middle, a humbucker at bridge — paired with the dyna-MIX9 switching system with Alter Switch unlocks 9 distinct pickup combinations for unmatched tonal range. Includes hardshell case.
