I bought this one from a major G&L dealer on this site just over a year ago. It came with a number of upgrades worth mentioning. They include:
Western sugar pine body
Thicker neck profile (G&L C+, .841" at the first fret eported by the dealer)
Tinted quarter sewn maple neck
Natural wood binding
Frost finish
6.4 lbs
Seymour Duncan pickups currently installed, LaBrea bridge and Lari Basilio signature middle pickup in the neck position. The original G&L alnicos are included. The only flaw I'm aware of is that the (remember it's a pine body) one the the switch plate screw holes (rear) is incompetent and the screw can lose it's grip and allow a small gap between the plate and body. A simple fix by a tech or owner but I'm leaving the choice to the buyer. I'm not aware of
I think the setup is top notch but can't guarantee you will agree so be sure to consider the hours and/or dollars to make it perfect for you.
