This particular unit is extremely rare in that it has been modified by one of the best technicians to do it. A custom magnetic panel with ribbon cable is attached to the top of the unit, which gives you four more parameter controls of cutoff, resonance, FM and slope!!

I really don’t sell it because I know I will absolutely never see one again with these modifications, but I just don’t I should.

The EX 800 is the polyphonic programmable desktop synthesizer for the poly 800 famous iconic vintage analog, full-size keyboard synthesizer. It of course has Midi capability and is fully programmable. It has been recapped and serviced, and some of the tactile button switches have had the carbon pads replaced as well. The metal paint is not chipped, corroded or rusted anywhere like most of these are either and all the buttons and potentiometers actually work. This is a very fine specimen of the EX 800 and probably one of the greatest FM synthesizer has ever made, next to the Yamaha DX7, of which this was designed to compete with in 1984.
