Tonewoods include a basswood body and one-piece maple neck, yielding a balanced, neutral natural acoustic quality translated faithfully through the trio of original alnico magnet single coils. The bridge position has a sparkly, authoritative zing, the middle position has a percussive clarity, and the neck position is throaty and warm while still having a crystalline snap in the top end. Weighing 7lbs 5oz, this ST57-53 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
