I have a 2021 USA B.C. Rich ST Legacy here with its hard shell case, and I have the original checklist from Sweetwater where it was purchased. I will post the known factory specs at the bottom of the listing.
Conditionally, this guitar has been immaculately kept and looks great.
The finish throughout looks like a black mirror. The body top, back, and sides all present the same way.
I found no dings, bumps, or indentations. There are no penetrating finish scratches, nor did I find any buildup of any lower intensity playwear. There is not even a sheen of guitar pick strumming below the pickups. Any similar superficial swirling will be absolutely minimal to nonexistent. There will be just faint scattered traces, but no accumulated patterns or buildup.
The luster of the finish looks nearly brand new. It has a crisp, fresh appearance, and it is clear this guitar has been kept in its case when not in use. The same can be said for the hardware.
I found one micro mark on the left side of the neck pocket. I would not call it a neck pocket crack because it has no length to it. It is simply a tiny surface mark about the size of a sharp pencil tip. It does not show up in pics. Only under very close scrutiny would it even be noticeable.
The neck looks as clean as the body. I did not find any chips, dings, or bumps. There is no fret wear and no fret sprout. The setup feels factory perfect. There is no buildup of sweat or residue on the back of the neck shaft. It has a like new look to it. The electronics are stock and working exactly as they should. The hard shell case is also in excellent condition.
So this one rates a 9.2/10 and grades as excellent. I found only that one tiny micro mark near the neck pocket, with nothing else notable across the entire instrument. It looks like a lustrous black mirror throughout. It is structurally and sonically sound and plays fantastic.
This is the classic Gunslinger super strat shape that B.C. Rich popularized in the 1980s, now executed with the highest level of quality and precision the brand has ever offered. This one comes from the Orlando USA factory where they are building these classic B.C. Rich guitars to an extremely high standard.
This one has the stealth black aesthetic that is synonymous with the brand. The wood selection, including the tastefully flamed maple neck shaft, delivers that classic super strat tonal recipe. You get a warm, three dimensional, sweet sounding midrange from the alder body, paired with clarity, cut, and note separation from the maple and ebony neck combination. That articulation is perfectly balanced by the high output passive pickups. They sound powerful and aggressive while still retaining a classic, organic voice.
The B.C. Rich brand originally began as a premium boutique builder catering to professional players. Its later mass produced import models became so widespread that they somewhat overshadowed the reputation of the original USA instruments. The current USA line is a low production, high end guitar series that is comparable to the current USA Select line from Jackson, and what Suhr is doing as well. Those are the two that come to mind that are comparable.
Note that this listing may come down at any time, as I am a multi platform seller and also sell locally and through my own site in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged on Reverb sales when applicable, so please factor that into your purchase.
I pack immaculately. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides, and sufficient bubble wrap, filler, and internal bracing. All packages are clearly marked as fragile. I also generally detune guitars by one half step prior to shipment when appropriate.
Thank you for reading and considering.
