2001 Gibson ES-165 Herb Ellis Signature – Highly Figured – Vintage Sunburst
A beautiful 2001 Gibson ES-165 Herb Ellis Signature in a classic Vintage Sunburst finish. Made on the Memphis factory, this model features the built-in neck humbucker, providing that quintessential thick, warm "jazz box" tone reminiscent of the classic ES-175.
This specific instrument features exceptional "tiger flame" figuring across the back, sides, and neck. It has been well-loved and cared-for and is a stunning example of n ES-165/ES-175.
Condition Notes:
- Visuals: The guitar is in overall excellent shape. There is minor stand rash under the headstock area (pictured) and a light finish blemish on the top near the cutaway (pictured) and can probably be buffed out by a professional — it is that subtle.
- Hardware: Gold hardware shows some light, honest patina consistent with its age.
- Case: Includes a non-original hardshell case that fits the guitar securely.
