This is a mid 70’s Slingerland 5 PLY 9x14 MAPLE TOM WITHOUT REINFORCEMENT RINGS!!!! Acquired this beauty around 30 years ago. It was the perfect piece to go with my 70s era chrome Slingerland kit. I wrapped it and was never happy with the way it looked with the other drums in the kit, so I stored it away in a fiber case a few years back, put some new heads on it tried it again with that kit, and it went back in the case.
When I wrapped it, I attempted to remove the badge, big mistake so the badge is missing, also the kick drum mounting plate bolt stripped, so I bought new hardware to mount the Tom’s on the kick. See the last photo for the original parts.
But besides those few details, this is a solid drum That sounds huge! If I was still collecting , I would pair this with a 24 or a 26 kick drum a 16 x 18 Floor tom and use a snare stand to hold this Tom and it would be a killer kit!!!!
I actually paid $225 for it 30 years ago so I am listing it at $300 but I will consider real serious offers
