A lightweight ash body 1977 Precision Bass!
The Precision Bass, born in 1951 as the world's first solid-body electric bass, is, needless to say, without it, modern music wouldn't exist. The Precision Bass has undergone slight modifications over the years since its release.
This particular instrument features an ash body and a one-piece maple neck.
The neck date is '77. The body date is illegible, the pickup date is '75, and the potentiometers are from '80.
Overall, we've determined it's a 1977 model, matching the serial number. While the potentiometers are from a similar period, there's a possibility they were replaced later.
With its relatively light ash body for its age, this bass doesn't produce a powerful, punchy sound, but rather a well-balanced, mellow tone with a good attack.
It's in player's condition with some scratches, but it's been refretted and has good playability.
Recommended for those looking for a lightweight 70s-style Precision Bass!
