This is a truly beautiful instrument, and I'll be sad to see it go.

I'm selling my 1949 Martin 00-17, which sounds like a million bucks. I took this guitar to Matt Brewster at 30th Street Guitars in New York City to get a K&K pickup installed. Matt did a great job with the installation and, when he gave me the guitar back, he said "it's perfect." That says it all.

It's lightweight, resonant, and effortlessly musical. The all-mahogany body is warm with a woody midrange and really articulate balance that defines the 17 series. The smaller body size is super comfortable yet still projects a big, beautiful sound.

This guitar has been well cared for and thoughtfully maintained over the years. It has new tuners, a top crack repair (the "Martin Crack," as some call it) between the pickguard and bridge that has been professionally cleated (see the pics), a refret, and a relatively recent neck reset). Playability is excellent, with comfortable action and a clear, open tone. It comes with in a new Martin hardshell case.
