Here's a lovely late 1950's vintage 'Professional' model Bb Boehm system clarinet by Robert Malerne of Paris. It is made of fine grenadilla wood with solid nickel alloy keys, posts and rings, and a bore of .580". All pieces are original, no cracks or repairs. This is Malerne's top model, and features some really nice construction details, like the metal tenon caps and post locks on the lower body. This horn has many years of music left in her!
Its been disassembled, soaked in oil, swedged and countersunk, body, keys and posts buffed, new white Roo leather pads and key/tenon corks installed. This well made clarinet is in great shape for its age and has a warm, focused tone with good intonation and comfortable ergonomics. Comes with (probably) original case in clean, solid condition.
