Earthworks 1021 1-channel Mic Preamp
(newer than some of the older ones with the older more calligraphy-type fonts)
They don't pop up often so if you're looking for one: this may be your only chance to pick one up.
I'd highly suggest this over any other mic pre. Its 10k input impedance with phantom on (100k off) is much higher than Cranborne/Grace/Millennia and has lower distortion than those too.
It has a standard IEC power cable and internal power supply which is well worth it compared to say a Cranborne with a proprietary power supply and no replacements. (Cranborne is also more likely to have grounding issues or RF interference issues - Perhaps they don't test them out as much in the US as compared to these EW preamps made in the USA?)
They were too costly for earthworks to make and still have any profit on which is why they are no longer made.
