The 1955 ES-225T was Gibson's first true "thinline" hollow-body electric, featuring a single, dog-ear P-90 pickup, a single-cutaway 16.25-inch wide laminated maple body, and a 1.75-inch deep rim. It boasts a 24.75-inch scale mahogany neck, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, and a distinct Les Paul-style combination bridge/trapeze tailpiece.

This one came to us with all hardware and electronics replaced - likely parted out to restore another guitar. The original body, neck, frets, and nut are extremely clean - just a few light buckle marks on the back of the guitar. Pickup is a Fralin noiseless P-90 with Alpha 500k audio taper pots and .033uF tone cap. Comfortable 50s C profile neck measures 1.692" wide at the nut and sets up with low, buzz-free action. Weighs 4.96 pounds and ships in newish TKL HSC shown.
