1965-66 Hofner 500/1

This is a sweet vintage bass that we recently took in. It has some general cosmetic wear but is in good shape overall and plays great after a fresh in store setup. The only thing that isn't stock on the bass are the tuners but they are still period correct. The headstock/neck has been professionally repaired from a crack and the repair looks fantastic and has no issues. If you are looking for a great example of a vintage Hofner then this could be a fantastic find. Get it while it lasts!

FEATURES:

Body: Hollow, violin-shaped, maple with a spruce top.

Neck: Maple, bolt-on, with a "C" profile.

Fingerboard: Rosewood, with 20 frets.

Scale Length: 30 inches (762mm).

Pickups: Two Hofner Type 511 "Super staple" single-coil pickups.

Controls: Two volume knobs, two tone switches (bass and treble).

Bridge: Ebony floating bridge.

Hardware: Open-back tuning keys.

Weight: Generally around 4.8 lbs.

Electronics: "Solo" and "Rhythm" selector, "Bass" and "Treble" ON/OFF selector.
