Discontinued years ago, this is an early Corona, CA example of the American Vintage Stratocaster platform featuring a custom color nitro lacquer gloss Candy Apple Red finish.

Weighing 7lbs 10oz, tonewoods include an alder body and a maple neck capped with a thick slab rosewood fretboard. This Strat has a balanced, clear acoustic response that provides an ideal platform for the trio of American Vintage 57/62 single coil pickups. Featuring staggered, beveled alnico pole pieces, black fiber bobbins, and cloth-covered leads, these pickups offer a potent upper midrange detail and bounce in the bridge position, a woody, sweet neck pickup sound and a nice hollow cut at the in-between positions on the three-way switch.
