This 4/4 adult sized labeled Kayser violin is made in Germany expressly for William Lewis & Son, Chicago, IL. The model number is 134 and it has a serial number of 86152. I believe it to made between 1950 -1960 per the label. It has steel strings which give it a remarkable sound and it stays in tune well. The violin has micro-adjustable pegs, possibly early Whittner pegs, and a Roth bridge. It has the original finish and no repairs were needed to be done to it. It has a beautiful, flamed maple back & matching flamed maple ribs and spruce top. If you are looking for a German made high quality violin, this is the one. It is an amazing find and one of my favorites from my collection. If you would like to hear it played, message me your cell number and I'll text a short video. This violin comes with a foam packed student quality case with bow, rosin and cleaning cloth.
The violin has been stored in a smoke-free and pet-free environment.
