Vintage RCA KS3B Mole Richardson Sound Stage Studio Boom Microphone Stand
These stands are incredibly hard to find.
RCA KS3B (by Mole Richardson) Boom Stand originally for the RCA series of microphones. The stand has its very early ID tag in brass with a low serial number and the large RCA Meatball logo. Evidently these were custom made for RCA to use in their studios by Mole Richardson.
It's in very nice shape considering its age. All booms, extensions, tightening mechanisms move freely and function properly. I would guess the stand dates to the 1930's-1940's. The only screws I notice missing/not original would be the three that connect the top portion to the base. I believe it would require 3x10-32 flat head machine screws around 3/4 inch long. Otherwise you can see from the pictures all the original cable clips and thumbscrews are present throughout the stand.
The stand breaks down very easily. The top half is removed from the base by 3 small screws, and the legs fold upward. It'll easily fit in any truck/van/hatchback or even a car if you have the ability to put down the back seat.
***Microphone and all other items pictured are not included. Only the microphone stand is being offered for sale***
