This German-made SPL DynaMaxx Model 9735 2-Channel Compressor is a great sounding boutique compressor with some unique features. Maybe the black with blue lightning finish turns some people off, but if you look at the features and specs you’ll see what I mean. It’s a multi-function dynamics toolbox with pristine sound quality.

The unique features include a de-compresser that will restore detail to over-compressed audio, and the specs include a 20 Hz - 100 kHz (-3 dB) frequency response. It also has dedicated push buttons to run it as a soft limiter or as a noise gate, plus a hard bypass along with external side chain connections and “set-and-forget” signal-dependent automation.

This rare unit has a very slight amount of rack rash, but all controls and indicator lights work perfectly, and it sounds fantastic. It comes with its original power cords (US and European), and while I do not still have the printed manual, I do have a PDF of it which I will provide to the buyer.
