Each of TriAmp Mark III’s six independent, action-packed channels represents a whole era of tone, and each of these following six Eras can be routed to three independent tube power amps:

RELENTLESS POWER

Drive your TRIAMP MARK III with up to 150 watts of sheer tube power combining any two, or up to any three of the power amps on board merging their different power amp characteristics. This effectively lets you custom tailor your power and sound.

AUTO-BIASING EASE & VERSATILITY

Each of the TRIAMP MARK III's three preamp sections has a pair of channels, and you can route them independently to the power sections. The result? You’re plugged into 42 different amp possibilities – all from one amp head.

TSC™ (TUBE SAFETY CONTROL) continuously adjusts the bias of TriAmp Mark 3’s power tubes to improve the amp’s tonal and technical stability and to extend the tubes’ lives. TSC operates automatically and continuously, so there is nothing for you to do but to enjoy the convenience of the system. You can swap tubes easily, quickly, and safely, because all the hard work of biasing gets done automatically for you. This can be a huge help if a tube runs into problems, or just if you fancy comparing different types or brands of tubes.

The TSC™ System automatically and constantly biases tubes and keeps your amp in good health -- allowing you to combine 6L6s, EL34s, KT66s, KT77s, KT88s, 6550s, 5881s, 7581s and/or 6CA7s. If the tubes are replaced by a different type (e.g. EL34 by KT88), it is recommended you reset the TSC module.

AWARD-WINNING RED BOX SPEAKER SIMULATION

The Red Box AE is the latest version of the award-winning speaker simulator, and it features switchable Low-Cut filtering and a 2nd Cabinet Mode. The DSP-powered Ambience Emulation delivers a perfect mix of authentic 4x12 cabinet ambience effects and an ultra-direct attack of pure tube tone, capturing the signal just after the power amp stage, and right before the speaker output.

The Red Box AE delivers a line signal. The level of the line signal depends on the level of the power amp, meaning that the Master Volume effectively determines the level of this DI Out.

INTEGRATED MIDI

MIDI In: 7-pin interface, but you can also connect a standard 5-pin MIDI cable, meaning any MIDI controller or board will fit. Two additional pins serve to supply phantom power to the optional Hughes & Kettner TSM-432 MIDI board.

MIDI Out/Through: forwards signals patched into MIDI into other devices. You can connect any external MIDI-enabled signal processor that you wish to switch simultaneously with your TRIAMP MARK III. With the touch of a button you can recall up to 128 sound constellations via MIDI.

Operates at 20 V DC phantom power (150 mA).

INTEGRATED NOISEGATE

IDB (Intelligent Dual Breakpoint) Noise Gate Hard/Soft infinitely variable. The Hard/Soft knob on the amp’s rear panel controls the noise gate’s response. The further you twist this

knob to the right, the softer the noise gate’s response. The further you twist the knob to the left, the harder the noise gate kicks in and cuts off signals and unwanted noise.

Tip: 12 0’clock is the universal noise gate setting. If you wish to use the noise gate as a stylistic device when playing fast staccato riffs at high gain levels, then dial in a setting towards the Hard end of the control range.
