Zum Verkauf steht ein seltener Gibson RD Artist aus dem Jahr 1977. Ein absolutes Highlight für Liebhaber der aktiven Moog-Elektronik, die bei diesem Exemplar einwandfrei funktioniert. Ein echtes Sustain Monster!
- Baujahr: 1977 (verifiziert durch CTS-Poticodes).
- Elektronik: Originale Moog-Schaltung, voll funktionsfähig. Die Batterieklemme wurde fachmännisch erneuert. Die Toggle-Switches machen leichte Geräusche beim Umschalten.
- Zustand: Der Lack weist die für das Alter typischen feinen Haarrisse (Checking) auf. Sehr wenige "Dings & Dongs". Am Hals sind Lackabnutzungen stellenweise, wurde sehr viel gespielt. Man sieht sie, aber man kann sie nicht fühlen. Am Hals sind aber leider doch etwas stärkere Dings und Dongs (siehe Foto).
- Besonderheit: Die Seriennummer auf der Kopfplattenrückseite wurde vor langer Zeit entfernt. Man kann leichte Unebenheiten fühlen, optisch fällt es jedoch kaum auf. Der Grund dafür ist nicht bekannt.
- Hardware: Ein Stimmwirbel (die Tulpe) ist leicht verbogen (ca. 5°), funktioniert aber tadellos.
- Koffer: Originaler Gibson Koffer inklusive. Außen "worn" mit schöner Patina, aber Verschlüsse und Scharniere sind stabil. Innen sehr sauber.
- Gewicht: Stolze 5,43 kg. Ein massives Instrument mit entsprechend endlosem Sustain.

Up for sale is a rare 1977 Gibson RD Artist. This bass features the legendary active Moog electronics, which are – surprisingly for their age – fully functional and sound incredible. A real sustain monster!
- Year: 1977 (verified by CTS pot codes).
- Electronics: Original Moog circuitry, fully operational. The battery clip has been replaced. Please note the toggle switches make slight mechanical noise when operated.
- Condition: The finish shows beautiful light weather checking consistent with its age. Very few dings or dents. The neck shows some finish wear in places from being played extensively. These marks are visible, but the surface remains smooth to the touch and they cannot be felt while playing. Unfortunately, there are some more noticeable dings and dents on the back of the neck (refer foto).
- Important Note: The serial number on the back of the headstock was removed a long time ago. You can feel slight unevenness in that area, though it is visually inconspicuous. The reason for this is unknown.
- Hardware: One tuner button (tulip) is slightly bent (approx. 5-10°), but it functions perfectly.
- Case: Original Gibson hardshell case included. The exterior shows heavy wear/patina, but all latches and hinges work fine. The interior is very clean and well-kept.
- Weight: A solid 5.43 kg (11.97 lbs). A heavy-duty vintage machine with massive sustain to match.
