You absolutely won't get more guitar for the money. Most of these type of upgrades don't even come on custom shop guitars. These are Uber custom guitars. I think the neck is even better than what they do at the Fender custom shop imho. This is basically a Telecaster Deluxe now wired in the Jimmy Page Style with a kill switch and four push-pull pots... loaded pickguard from 920d Custom Shop. These were some of the best loaded pick guards out there at the time. There was nobody quite like them really, with all of their choices. I got quite a bit of money wrapped up in this guitar, and all it needs is new strings and a very basic setup. If this guitar came straight out of the Fender Factory as it is now, and being offered by Sweetwater, or some other authorized dealer with all it's features, they would be asking $3000+ for it... I'm the second owner of this guitar. I received it with the custom neck already on it. I feel the guitar is basically mint cosmetically, it has a couple small tiny nicks and scratches. Nothing major whatsoever.

From 3 or 5 ft away it looks brand new. I really liked the pearloid guard I chose for it, you could always get another black one if you wanted to or just paint this one black, but I think it's really cool as it is. It's different and I haven't seen many quite like it, if at all.

No major chips or anything. I think it's the perfect "player's" guitar, NEVER been gigged.

This Telecaster started life as a stock 2006 Fender Tele '72 reissue in gloss black (Great guitars with a very solid build 20 yrs ago.). The body is a 2006 Fender Tele '72 reissue, with an exquisite maple CUSTOM neck, loaded with a seemingly infinite amount of very pretty "bird's eyes" that pop..

The neck shape is like a 60's medium-c, or soft -c maybe, like the old Fenders, with a 70's headstock.. Vintage 50's style frets that do not have sharp ends whatsoever.

That was the main reason I bought the guitar, the neck, cuz it truly looks amazing and plays amazing, very resonant, and plays like butter. I got it with the original black pick guard with the stock Fender wide-range pickups, I sold that stock pickguard with its WR pickups, and sold the cheap old wire harness. I put a killer 920d Custom Shop loaded pickguard on it called their "Jimmy Page" model, with a hot Seymour Duncan Tb4 (JB) in the bridge, and a smooth and airy Duncan SH2 Jazz pickup in the neck. It's one of the more popular combos. It's called the Jimmy Page model because of the way it's wired, not because of the pickups. They put this popular set of pups in tons of different guitars straight from the factories like Jackson's, EVH's, Charvell's, San Dimas' etc..Vintage style gavitt cloth wire harness. The pick guard is shielded to combat outside electrical interference, creating static. The wiring is totally cool. It's not all hanging around and messy, it's very neatly "tied off" and very well organized.

It has 4-Bourns push-pull 500k or 550k pots, ( I can't quite remember), has dual Sprauge .22uF Orange Drop caps. Bornes are my personal favorite pots, they feel much smoother than the average CTS pots, or Mojo tone, Alpha's etc.

Gold Switchcraft input jack, a Graphtech TusQ nut, custom string trees with no resistance and preventing ALL string binding.

I even had the input-jackcup screwed into the guitar with two screws, so it wont ever come out or come loose like so many Fender cups do in time. They all become loose after time imo.. The frets are great, with little to no wear. Comes with Fender molded hardcase, that's probably a couple hundred bucks right there. I included that in the price because I just don't give my cases for free.

Other than the mim alder body, this guitar is 100% American, its parts and assembly is all American. It sounds fantastic, and after a typical basic setup it'll sound even better. I've had her long enough, and it's time to let it go. It needs a good home. I've got a lot of money wrapped up into this guitar. Heck the guy before me put a lot of money into it. This neck on it is probably $500 or $600 minimum. This isn't a Warmoth or Mighty Mite type of replacement neck. The original owner told me the original neck never broke, he said he simply wanted beautiful "figured" wood without buying some kind of expensive custom shop Fender guitar for $4k..,(Which makes obvious sense). There's no difference between American and Mexican bodies. I've heard guys at Fender say the same thing. If you think about it, Hispanic guys probably built the custom shop guitars in Corona California, lol. So there's not a difference, lol. Fender use's the exact same cnc machines in both locations.

I haven't even seen custom shop usa Fenders with as many bird's eyes as this guitar. I wish I could remember the name of the company that made the neck, he's a very well-known private luthier.

The JB-4/ (TB-4) pickup in the bridge, and the sh-2 Jazz pick up in the neck sound great in these BIGGER cavities where the original wide range pickups set. The bigger cavities make a difference

The logo on the headstock was put on by the neck manufacturer. If you have any questions about this baby, feel free to contact me. There are no cracks in the neck pocket, or any structural damage whatsoever. The truss rod is perfectly fine. Always stays in tune. No buzzing or dead spots on the fretboard.. The action is really low so you might want to raise it a bit..

If I was the one buying this guitar, I would just have it set up professionally exactly the way you want it ( if you don't do your own guitars of course)

I'm just not going to throw any more money into it with my tech. My tech is one of the best on the East Coast of Central Florida but he isn't free, lol.

If you have any questions at all, please reach out, and I'll be more than happy to answer you. Again, don't buy a new stock Mexican guitar for a grand, when you can get this for a few hundred more, I seriously don't think it's worth it.

(((NOTE:The last photos, showing a different guitar on the sidewalk, is just to show you what these look like originally all stock. This is not the guitar I'm selling. I just found these pictures because I wanted you to see what it looked like originally. It was kind of tough to find a 2006 model, hard to believe it's already been 20 years ago... but again, mine is completely upgraded and killer, and not even the same guitar anymore other than the body itself. Every other single part has been upgraded, and upgraded by a lot, with the best parts you can get.

Like I said, if Fender was selling this guitar they would want three grand for it at Sweetwater. And I can't stress enough how hard it is to get these specific custom pick guards anymore
