Yamaha HPH-MT7 Studio Monitor Headphones - Black

The Yamaha HPH-MT7 headphones are professional-grade studio monitors designed to deliver the flat, high-resolution sound required for critical listening, mixing, and recording. Inspired by the legacy of the legendary NS-10M monitors, the MT7s focus on sonic accuracy and precise stereo imaging, making them a staple for engineers who need to hear every nuance of a source signal.

Built for the rigors of professional use, they feature a rugged design with die-cast aluminum support arms and a closed-back configuration that provides excellent isolation—perfect for tracking in the studio or monitoring in high-volume live environments.

Tone & Performance

The HPH-MT7s are celebrated for their transparent and honest character. Unlike consumer headphones that "hyped" the bass or treble, the MT7s offer a balanced response that reveals subtle EQ shifts and compression artifacts.

The low end is tight and well-defined without being overwhelming, while the high frequencies are crisp and detailed, providing the "air" needed to judge vocal presence and percussion transients. Because of their high 99 dB/mW sensitivity, they remain clear and undistorted even at higher volume levels.
