This 1992 Taiwan-made SD-1 is one of those pedals that still feels right the moment you step on it. Based on the classic BOSS asymmetrical clipping design that grew out of the OD-1, it delivers that familiar midrange push, smooth breakup, and touch-sensitive response that has kept the SD-1 on so many boards for so many years. The Tone control makes it especially easy to shape, whether you want a warmer, rounder drive or a little more edge to help leads cut through. This one carries the desirable JRC4558DD chip and also comes with the box and manual, which makes it an especially nice example for both players and collectors.

No power supply is included.
This early Taiwan-made SD-1 is commonly associated with the older ACA power standard. Please use a BOSS ACA adaptor or a compatible 12V center-negative adaptor. A standard PSA-type 9V adaptor may not power it correctly unless the pedal has been modified. It can also be powered by a 9V battery.

Condition
Cosmetically very clean for its age, with only light signs of use.
