A 1968 Gibson ES-335TD featuring a rich acoustic resonance and a beautiful sunburst finish.

This example has the typical late-1960s specifications, including a 14-degree headstock angle, a one-piece mahogany neck with a narrow nut width and long neck tenon, chrome hardware, a patent number ABR-1 bridge with retaining wire, trapeze tailpiece, and witch hat knobs.

The nut, frets, rear volume pot, pickup ring screws, hard case, and pickups have been replaced. The pickups are Patent Number decal T-Tops with slotted screws, a type that began appearing around 1969. The guitar has also been oversprayed, making it a player-grade instrument rather than a fully original collector piece.

The frets have been refretted with medium-size wire and still retain good height. The neck is in excellent condition, and the truss rod functions properly, offering stress-free playability. Tonally, it delivers an airy and warm acoustic resonance, clear and beautiful chord tones, and the mellow lead tone characteristic of an ES-335. It is a versatile instrument suitable for a wide range of genres and is highly recommended for players who prioritize sound and playability.
