This is a very rare and hard to find made in Japan Fender ST-38J Stratocaster that plays and sounds great! The California blue finish has aged very nicely from over the years and the guitar is comprised of a basswood body, "C" shape maple neck, and maple fretboard.

This guitar does show some cosmetic wear from over the years that includes various surface scratches, scuffs, dents, and small finish chips throughout the body with additional dings along the back of the neck and headstock. The California blue finish has also aged from over the years with an imprint of a previous sticker present on the front of the body. The hardware also shows normal tarnishing from over time. The frets exhibit light play wear but otherwise still have plenty of life and the electronics work as they should. 

This Strat comes freshly set up with D'Addario EXL110 .010-.046 gauge strings. The tremolo arm is a later replacement, otherwise this guitar is original.
