Here we have a WILD 1967 Gretsch Viking that has definitely seen better days! This guitar had all the binding at some point, and as is common with these old Gretsch guitars; the binding fell apart. It was subsequently replaced with glue and nylon twine.

The paint has also had some “touch up” and there’s tons of brushed on paint all over the guitar. Personally, I think it’s a vibe.

The body has the newer paint on it over the original, and there’s TONS of dings and divots all throughout. Please examine pictures closely. The plastic cover that hides under the leather protector is not included in the sale.

The Neck looks to have been reset, and it was an amateur job. But regardless, they got the neck angle spot on! By some miracle, the finish on the back of the neck looks to be original up until the heel. Frets are slanted and you can see signs of handiwork from back in the day.

This guitar is a perfect project for someone looking to get authentic vintage guitar bones for a good price! These projects never last long so get it while it’s hot!
