For sale is a powerhouse bass rig for the serious player: The Ashdown Klystron 1000. This isn't the standard mass-produced line; this is the rare, UK-made flagship series known for massive headroom and "Stairway to Heaven" levels of low-end.
The Powerhouse Head:
Configuration: Traditional amp head (Ampeg-style) in very clean condition.
Power: Dual 575W power sections for over 1100W of total output.
Tone: Gold-standard Tube Preamp paired with a lightning-fast Solid State power section.
Onboard Tools: Includes a professional-grade compressor and Ashdown’s famous Sub-Harmonic Generator (adds a note one octave below for room-shaking depth).
Extras: Includes the original 4-button footswitch and a fitted road case to keep the head pristine.
The "Fridge" Cabinet:
Specs: UK-made 8x10 cabinet. This is the ultimate stage companion, delivering that classic "wall of sound."
Condition: Fair/Gigged. The cab shows significant cosmetic wear from the road (scuffs/tears in the tolex—see photos), but it is structurally rock solid and sounds incredible.
Location: Pick up in Rochester, NY area. Too big to ship. Willing to explore meeting up in the northeast.
