These are not the "almost correct" parts that are made overseas from cheap junk metals - these are true Made In the USA nickel-plated aluminum and steel and are the industry standard in quality. The specs on these have not deviated since the early days of Gibson, so if you're looking to replace a Tailpiece on a vintage Gibson from the 1950's, 1960's and beyond, this will fit as well! The tailpiece is nickel plated aluminum - identical to how they were made in the 1960's. The studs are 1.5" nickel plated steel, again, made to exacting vintage imperial specs.

While the nickel plating on this is brand new - bright and shiny - it will oxidize to a lovely "smoked out" vintage style patina over time.

This tailpiece is correct for the Les Paul Special, SG Special, Melody Maker and various other wrap-tail models.
