For your consideration, Garrett Park Music presents this 1963 Guild T-100 Hollow Body "Slim Jim".
Crafted in Hoboken, New Jersey, this 1963 Guild T-100 'Slim Jim" shows few signs of wear, with a nicely aged finish and some minor nicks on the back and sides in addition to some minor separation by the guitar's horn. The rear headstock has some added finish over the original owner's engraved ID#, but the serial is still legible and the guitar is otherwise free of breaks or modifications. It also comes with the original and much desired single-coil Franz pickup, which is visually similar to Gibson P-90s but offers a cleaner, brighter tone. Often described as a precursor to the Guild Starfire series, it was built for players who wanted the resonance of a hollow instrument with the manageability of a thinner body. Featuring a 16 3/8" wide and approximately 2" deep thin-hollow construction with a 1.67" nut. It is constructed with laminated maple for the top, back, and sides. The top is triple-bound, while the back remains unbound. This vintage Guild is a great player and looker, with a tone that's airy, snappy, and nicely resonant. Because it is a fully hollow thin-line guitar with a single-coil neck pickup, it sits in a unique sonic space between a jazz box and a Fender-style bite, offering superb clean tones while also taking nicely to distortion. In great shape, this USA-made Guild also includes its original hardshell case, warranty hangtag, and owner's instructions.
