Local Pickup Only
One of the most beloved vintage amplifiers ever made, and a genuinely well-preserved example of the pre-CBS blackface era.
Dating
The tube chart reads "Fender Electric Instrument Co., Fullerton, California" and carries an "OF" stamp consistent with June 1965 production. The chassis stamp reads October 1965. All four transformers and the choke are original Schumacher units with EIA codes dating to early-mid 1965, and they all agree with each other.
Originality
The original Astron blue molded coupling caps are intact throughout. The cloth wiring harness appears untouched. Electrolytic caps have been replaced at some point -- standard responsible maintenance on a 60-year-old amp. The circuit is otherwise stock AB763.
Condition
Both channels, reverb, and tremolo work correctly. Tolex is tight with honest corner wear appropriate to the age. The original wheat grille cloth is in great shape -- no tears or staining. Panel and knobs are clean.
The speaker is an Italian-made Jensen P12N reissue -- a solid, era-appropriate choice, noted here for transparency. No footswitch included. Sale includes a flight case.
