I was just hanging with the King, shopping for blue suede shoes at Lansky Brothers, when Elvis said, “Do something worth remembering.” Easy, Chief—I’m trying to make a name for myself. The nerve of this guy, right?

Why did I bring up the King in this retrospective piece? Well, look at the color—doesn’t that remind you of Gladys’s ’54 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 60? Now you know where the inspiration came from. How’s that, E?

Well, you may go to college.
You may go to school.
You may have a pink Cadillac.
But don’t you be nobody’s fool.

I’m with you—don’t be anybody’s fool. As for this Shell Pink Fender Stratocaster? Well, it could be your ticket to rock ’n’ roll stardom, and naturally, you’ll be killing it in classic style. “Guitar, Lee?”

About this guitar? This 2010 Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster in Shell Pink, is relic’d the way it should be. Not beat to death, not fresh out of a plastic bag—this is that lived-in, played-in, understands-the-assignment kind of finish.

Neck? Smooth ‘60s C—the kind that doesn’t fight you, doesn’t slow you down, just stays out of the way while you do your thing.
Board? Rosewood. Dark, broken-in feel like it’s been here before.
Pickups? Custom Shop singles—glassy when you behave, downright disrespectful when you don’t.
Bridge? Vintage trem. Push it, pull it—it comes right back like it owes you money.

Condition? As clean and complete as my reputation suggest.
Weight? Agreeable. No chiropractor required.
Case? Brown G&G. Paperwork? Of course. COA, cable, strap, cloth—the whole spread. Nobody cut corners here.

Thank you, thank you very much. E, seriously? "Tomorrow will be too late, it's now or never." I'll let em' know. He's right, tomorrow will be to late.
