These are good preamps stock, but are a little muddy and not very open sounding which finds them in many home studios but not in the commercial studio realm, this is where we come in.

Clarett Octopre Modifications:

Modifications feature a full Analog path modification for all channels of analog input and output using high performance Burr Brown Amplifiers for excellent low end response and an open top end.

This includes every amp in every stage and a number of other performance in the analog path.

All Capacitors in the audio path are changed for lower noise and better audio quality. values are changed to adjust the overall quality as well.

Noise reduction is also applied to the audio path for less white noise and masking of the audio.

The analog modifications on these interfaces offer a wonderfully warm front end at the analog inputs coupled with a very flat response output section for a precise representation of your mix, making great mixes easier.

Converter De-coupling and coupling techniques are also used for an even broader and more accurate image of the audio from the converters for the full audio experience from these classy little desktop Interfaces. 

Then finally we perform a power supply modification for maximum bandwidth and headroom. The converters with the modifications sound excellent and easily as good as interfaces costing twice as much.

With the modifications we get a lot more bandwidth, lower noise, cleaner and larger audio with a lot more headroom. 
The modifications on these really help to hear inside the mix for optimal tuning.
