Gorgeous dark Tobacco burst. You won't believe this guitar is 25 years old. Dark resonant fretboard. Mint frets. This isnt a cheap faded Junior, this is the real deal, a glossy and rock solid junior. About as close to new as you can get. Just a small blimish on the back of the neck. At a quarter Century old its one of the best ones I've been around in this great condition. This guitar has a small finish crack on the back of the neck where they usually occur under the headstock, but it doesn't even go through the Finish, it looks more like a small scratch, otherwise it's mint, there's literally not a scratch or a chip or ding on this guitar. This little finish crack looks nothing more than a scratch, and can't be photographed. The neck pocket is perfect and tight, with no kind of cracks whatsoever. This guitar sustains for days. I'm the second owner of this guitar. Someone tried to lightly buff the scratch out so there's just a tiny bit of hazing around the scratch. But it's really nothing.
Weighs about 8.4 pounds. It doesn't feel like a toy, which I hate. Gibsons should feel just right and not too light.
They need perfect heft. It's a perfect rhythm guitar and nails searing leads.
Chunky fat power chords.
If I ask for less, I'm not going to include the case. That'll take a lot off the shipping cost as well.. I owned a couple of the $3500 Billy Armstrong juniors, and this kills both of them.
((Fwiw, I got this guitar on consignment from a mom and pop music store in Michigan about 10 years ago. It belonged to Drew Abbott, the original guitar player of the Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. I believe he was friends with the owners of the store. The owner told me Drew comes in all the time. I got a letter from Drew with the guitar, but I can't find it at this time. I have it somewhere, I just can't find it at this time)). If I find the letter, I'll make a copy of it for you. I would like to keep the original because I think it's really cool to have. Its probably been 10 years since I last saw his letter. Bob Seger has played some of the most legendary songs in Rock and Roll history, and sold millions and millions of records. Songs like Main Street, and Against the Wind and so many others. Seger is one of those artists where every song is good in my opinion.
