A warmer, fuller tone from the Lollar mini-humbucker in the neck, a bright and articulate sound from the Lollar middle single coil, and a punchy, snappy attack from the Lollar bridge pickup, allowing for a wide range of tones depending on which pickup(s) are selected and how they are blended together. 

Similar to the pickups found in ‘70s-era Les Paul® Deluxes, our Mini-Humbuckers draw heavily from our standard Imperials®, but the Minis have lower output, less low end and a tighter attack. We’ve also minimized the microphonics commonly found in the 1970s originals to help reduce feedback issues.

The Neck: A Warmoth Roasted Maple Neck with INDIAN ROSEWOOD Fretboard:

• INDIAN ROSEWOOD fretboard: known for their warm, rich, and balanced sound. This type of Rosewood is a popular choice for fretboards, because it’s versatile, and has a deep, resonant tone. This Warmoth fretboard is a Dark Chocolate Brown, with darker streaks.

Roasted Maple is maple that has been heat treated to remove sugars, moisture, and other impurities that can affect its stability. The result is a neck that is slightly lighter than normal and extremely stable. Because of its enhanced stability a finish is not required, making it the maple of choice for those who prefer the smooth, quick feel of natural wood. The roasting process also brings out a beautiful caramel color in the wood.

Stainless Steel Frets:

This is our premium fret wire. Stainless Steel frets feel faster and smoother than Nickel/Silver, and also last much longer before fret work is needed. There is no discernable difference in tone. This top-quality, German-made Jescar fretwire is rated at HV 300 (+/-20) on the Vickers hardness scale.

NORMAL Position 1 of the 5-way selector switch activates the bridge pickup alone by engaging the Push-Pull switch on the bottom tone control at this point it will activate the neck pickup giving you the bridge and neck pickups together.

Likewise, with the 5-way selector switch in the second position with the bridge and middle pickups activated, a Push-Pull switch adds the neck pickup to the equation which gives you ALL of the pickups together. Two choices now missing on a stock Strat.

This guitar body has a very warm and crisp sound. It is built light and resonant for sustaining notes. The treble bleed circuit keeps it clear with a good strong signal all the way down. You can add extra bass with the tone controls. The middle pickup is a RWRP which is wired like a humbucker in positions 2 and 4 on the 5-way switch. Overall, a great choice for many styles and genres. Because of its very light weight, it is extremely and comfortable to play all night long.
