This classic compressor pedal took the 1970s crossover scene by storm and became popular in combination with the company's Distortion+. The unique "pop-pop" sound produced when the sensitivity is increased is a hallmark of this model. While it may lack some stability compared to modern compressors, this is part of its unique character, and many still cherish its thick, mellow, and sustained sound. It's not only great for classic cutting techniques, but also for bridging the volume difference between arpeggios and chords.
