This is a custom shop ’64 reissue Telecaster from 2023. This guitar is a monster and it has been a pleasure owning it for as long as I have. It’s got hand wired ’51 Nocaster pickups in it, which tonally make for an incredible pairing with the Rosewood veneer fretboard. The guitar weighs in at a perfectly balanced 7lbs 5oz and is lightweight, but not neck heavy in anyway. The neck is a quarter sawn piece of maple which is extra stable as far as tuning goes. Honestly, this guitar has been my go to for the past 3 years for long gigs and sets because of its weight and because of how well it holds tune. But I digress! It has 6105 narrow tall fret wire and a 9.5” radius fret board. The neck is an extremely comfortable C, very close to most actual vintage ‘64 Fenders I have felt. It also has the compensated RSD saddles on the vintage style bridge to give it impeccable intonation and sustain. Comes with original case and all case candy including COA.
What’s cool about this guitar to me is that if you dig deep enough in the archives of sold listings on reverb, you can actually find a legit vintage 1963 Telecaster with the exact same paint and pickguard as this one. Olympic White with a matching headstock and tortoise guard. I love stuff like that, knowing that what I’m playing is actually a call back to a rare bird from back in the day.
