Hi there
I'm selling my incredible 1964 Framus Strato Deluxe. Incredible Vintage tones. Wooly and singing pickups. Slightly higher output than a Strat. Very full sound. They sound fantastic.
Stunning and original design.
Last year I invested $600 to get the playability to 100%. Professional refret, new bridge and new nut.
Beautiful Fiesta Red. Previous owner told me it was original, but I'm suspecting it to be an old refinish. Looks great and aged.
The guitar looks super cool: The offset-type body and big chrome plate for controls. The original headstock design is super sleek.
And sounds even better.
The whammy bar is not original to the guitar and held in place with some tape. That's the only small 'issue' with the guitar. It works and holds in place just fine.
Some wear and tear as you would expect from a 60s guitar but in very good shape. Chrome and finish is beautifully aged.
Framus is a German luthier that made a lot of awesome guitars in the 60s. Paul McCartney played a Framus early in his career.
You can hear the guitar on this album:
D.Treut, Elias Meister, Dan Blake, Francesco Marcocci - Computer Shaming
(free jazz/rock type music. My not be your style but you can hear the tones)
Considering the investment in the refret, bridge and nut this is very fair price.
Please ask me any questions or to try the guitar.
Thanks for looking
